The healthyliving award has been designed to make it easier for you to eat healthier food whenever you eat out. Award holders across Scotland, such as cafes, sandwich shops, workplace restaurants, colleges and other places where you buy meals and snacks are making changes to the way they prepare food - to ensure its done with your health in mind.

Only places that are committed to preparing and serving food according the the award conditions can display the healthyliving award logo and certificate. This means that healthier ingredients and cooking methods are used to keep salt, sugar and fat to a minimum and options such as water, low fat diary products and fruit and vegetables are always available.

The buzz around the award is getting louder. More than 650 establishments up and down the country have achieved it. So next time you're buying lunch at work or looking for a bite when out and about, look for the healthyliving award.
