Food businesses, consumers and health professionals will be interested to know that the Food Standards Agency in Scotland (FSAS) has re-instated the ‘eatwell’ website at a new web address: www.eatwellscotland.org.
In England and Wales, responsibility for nutrition and healthier eating now lies with the Department of Health and Welsh Government, but in Scotland and Northern Ireland the FSA leads on these policies.
The website is a useful tool providing information and guidance on key issues such as healthy diet, keeping food safe and food labels. A new ‘eatwell site for Scotland’ is being developed and will be found at the same web address in the future.
