Food and drink – the regulatory challenge: What next for industry standards?

Thursday 17 May, Radisson Blu, Glasgow

For the food and drink industry, regulation and the industry standards have always been a controversial topic. But now, in a tough economic climate and an increasingly competitive market, this issue will make the Symposium a ‘must attend’ event for everyone involved in the industry.

To mark the 10th anniversary of what has now become a key event in the food industry calendar, the day promises to inform, challenge, debate and discuss key issues for the food industry relating to regulation, audit and standards. These include the future delivery of the Food Standards Agency’s functions in Scotland, a glimpse into the past with a rundown on how we got to current standards and a vision for the future regulatory environment and how that best meets the needs of suppliers, retailers and consumers. Top this off with a variety of case studies direct from industry.

Speakers featuring at the event include industry, Scottish Government, the Food Standards Agency, SAI Global and Asda
