Celebrating success in 2014

23 April 2014

We held our annual awards ceremony at Hampden Stadium in March to celebrate and reward caterers across Scotland who have achieved the award over the past year.

The ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and journalist, Stephen Jardine celebrated the success and achievements of over 160 first time award holding establishments. The awards were presented by Nick Nairn and Shona Robison, Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport, gave a speech in which she warmly congratulated award recipients. There are currently over 630 award holders in the country serving over 210,000 customers on a daily basis.

Our first award ceremony since the healthyliving award moved into NHS Health Scotland, we were delighted to have a number of Health Scotland staff at the event to support the team and Gerry McLaughlin, Chief Executive, spoke to the audience and put in context how the award holding businesses are helping play their part in a healthier fairer Scotland.

Anne Lee, Project Manager for the healthyliving award, said, “It was great for our team to meet and personally congratulate so many of our new award holders.” She continued “I hope that they will inspire more caterers to register for a healthyliving award and play their part in making Scotland a place where it is easy to find good quality healthy food to eat outside of the home.”
