New Year, new look for the healthyliving award website

The healthyliving award website has had a New Year makeover! As the award has gone from strength to strength, a new website has been created to reflect what the award now encompasses, with scope for further development as it continues to grow.

The website, www.healthylivingaward.co.uk, provides a wealth of information for caterers, stakeholders and anyone who has ever wanted to eat more healthily when going out for a meal or a bite to eat.

Our aim is for the website to be the first stop for anyone looking for information about the award. The website has been designed to be eye-catching and informative, with clear categories making it easy to find what you are looking for.

Caterers – you will find all the information you need in the Trade Kitchen section. This includes an outline of the whole process, from registration through to assessment visit and beyond. You can register online or download a form to register by post. Anyone needing support while working towards the award will find full contact details for the team in this section.

Consumers should head straight to the Customer Dining Room where you will find a list of all eateries to have achieved the award. The list is updated regularly and arranged by geographical area, allowing you to quickly and easily find local healthier eating establishments. Award holders such as workplace restaurants that have restricted access are flagged so you can see at a glance which places are open to the general public.

The Award Winners’ Gallery showcases a selection of our award winners, their pictures and other details. Award-holders who would like to celebrate their achievement here are welcome to send us a photograph along with any other information and we will do our best to include you.

Features include recipes supplied by caterers who have successfully attained the healthyliving award. We hope to expand this section as recipes are always popular with caterers looking for fresh ideas and consumers who would like to try some healthy cooking at home. If you have a recipe you would like to see featured on the website, please send it to us.

Many of the features on the website will be of interest to caterers, customers and stakeholders alike. One example is On The Boil, which features upcoming events, successes and all the latest news from the healthyliving award team.

The website also allows you to view the current issue of coretalk, download previous editions and subscribe to receive coretalk electronically.

Browse the website for yourself at www.healthylivingaward.co.uk and let us know what you think. We would love to hear your views, so email us at coretalk@healthylivingaward.co.uk.
