Jim Coltart is Country Park Manager with South Lanarkshire Council at Calderglen Courtyard Café in East Kilbride. We asked him what he thought of the award and the benefits it has brought.

  • Q. What were your main reasons for applying for the healthyliving award?
  • A. Because of the council’s commitment toward healthy living, and eating, through schools and other major facilities.
  • Q. Do you feel that working towards and achieving the healthyliving award has been worthwhile?
  • A. Yes, it has given me increased knowledge of the benefits from eating healthily. It promotes a feel good factor to both staff and customers.
  • Q. Would you recommend the healthyliving award to other caterers?
  • A. Yes, healthy living is a key issue in the way we live, and the award promotes and advertises the reasons for eating healthy food.
