Fiona Hutchison is Support Manager for Compass Group at the MOD Army Personnel Centre, Kentigern House, Glasgow. We asked her what she thought of the award and what benefits it has brought:

  • Q. What were your main reasons for applying for the healthyliving award?
  • A. To use it as a tool to improve the eating habits and therefore health of our customers.
  • Q. Do you feel that working towards and achieving the healthyliving award has been worthwhile?
  • A. Yes. It has made the catering staff and chefs more aware of what is in a meal and how it can affect the health and well-being of our customers and themselves.
  • Q. Would you recommend the healthyliving award to other caterers?
  • A. Definitely. It is a “full package” of advice/help/dietary tips and ways to achieve the award.
